How can I get traffic into my website?

Posted by Edison on September 28, 2007

Hey guys, today I have learned something from uncle Michael Cheney, and I think this really helps especially for newbies! Are you always looking for a way out to get traffic to your website? Well, here are some suggestions from uncle Michael!

You can buy it, you can create it or you can leverage other people’s site. The quickest way is to buy it by going to Google.com and clicking on ‘Advertising Services.

From there you can get set up with their ‘AdWords’ program which means you can have adverts next to the relevant search results on Google within 15 minutes or so of registering.

Alternatively, if money is an issue but time is not then you can get traffic 1001 different ways! Traffic generation is a massive area but I suggest you start by focusing your efforts on creating high value, quality content on your website. (I’m always doing this  )

If you do this and have lots of unique content on your website that contains words and phrases related to the market you are in then you will start attracting traffic soon enough. My daddy and mummy used to be VERY MUCH into search engine optimization – that is, making small changes to your website so that it is ‘optimized’ for the search engines.

Now don’t get me wrong – this works really well but you have to ask yourself – is this really what you want to do with your life? If you are big into search engine optimization then you can sometimes find yourself always looking over your shoulder in the fear that Google and the like will change HOW they rank websites.

Nowadays I don’t do ANY search engine optimization and I’m doing alright! My own personal opinion on this is that if you focus on creating a lot of really useful articles and content for your website and make sure it is search engine friendly then you won’t go far too wrong.

Now, everybody knows: “Content is King”! And I say, “PLR is Queen”! Hehe! I’m not a professional writer (my mummy is  ), and I’m just a little baby! So I love PLR articles soooooooo much! Its allow me to copy and change the article and most important - it has no restrictions to use!

So, lets keep up writing good content to your website and you’ll get traffic very soon! My mummy always tell me this story, when the little puppy ask his mummy: where is Happiness? The mummy answer: It is on your tail. So the little puppy keep on chasing his own tail, and finally he got fed up! He says: mummy, I can’t get my happiness! The mummy answer: My dear, don’t chase for your happiness, just keep on going, the happiness will then follow you right at the back!

Well, don’t use the outdated tactics and keep on chasing for the high ranking in search engine! Just keep doing the good job, creating great content, the search engine spider will then come and look for you!

Blessings for all!
